Measuring Income Inequality Across the Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Income inequality is a paradox that exists at national and international levels, poverty are closely related as more income leads to high ratio educational deprivation. Despite efforts forums, persists on large scale, particularly in developing countries like Pakistan. No research study measured the district level of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, province has not been thoroughly studied previous despite its significant economic geographical importance. This used Gini index analyze across districts Pakhtunkhwa province, including Federally Administrated Tribal Area, using data from PSLM 2019-20 survey. The results revealed high-income among districts, with Shangala, Haripur, Tor Ghar ranked unequal while Swabi was least unequal. also highlights lack basic education, roads, hospitals, employment opportunities worst-performing underscoring need for policymakers development practitioners address region. concludes recommendations promoting job growth, increasing wages, investing technical education financial markets, formalizing economy reduce Pakhtunkhwa.
